The ALYANSA, INC. , a theater network of artist-teachers-students in Metro Manila, in cooperation with the National Committee on Dramatic Arts of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts ,has initiated a CD recording project entitled “Ka-Jam: Jamming ng mga Sikat at Komunidad”. The CD recording project includes a selection of 14 songs on teachers,students and the creative learning process which our own theater artists have created from its past theater productions. Our target is to promote this CD recording project among teachers and students through campus tours starting with a launching program in September 2010 during the Tanghalan ng Paaralan: 1st National University and College Theater Network Congress in Manila. Proceeds of the “Ka-Jam” project will be used to fund a long-term teacher training program for the Special Program for the Arts of the Secondary High Schools of Department of Education.This program will be worked out through the help of the National Commission on Culture and the Arts .
In line with this, can we ask you to be one of our “Ka-Jam na Sikat” artist by singing one of our selected songs pro bono ? We will be honored to have you sing the song “Paalam sa Aking Mag-aaral” a song on pain of a dedicated teacher forced to take on a job abroad or “Pusong Dakila” a duet on the conflict faced a retiree teacher and a young lawyer which is her daughter as they extend help to a needy student. Attached are the lyrics of the songs.
The songs were composed by Bobet Mendoza, a former factory worker who strove hard to finish his studies to become one of the best teachers of language and literature at the Miriam College of Quezon City and arranged by Dodgie Fernandez performed at the 2004 CCP National Theater Festival and the 2006 UNESCO-ITI World Theater Festival and Conference .The cast and artistic staff was comprised of teachers and student theater artists from UE, UP, PUP, PNU, and Malabon National High School.
Right now, we can only offer you proper billing and recognition as one of our Ka-Jam artists. We were able to get P100,000 funding from the NCCA and we are still in the process of finding sponsors for the project. To date, we already recorder with Ms. Bayang Barrios, Mr. Joey Ayala and this coming weekend, Ms. Cookie Chua, Mr. Reymond Sajor, UP Singing Ambassadors and Mr. Lou Veloso are schedule to do their respective songs.
We hope you will agree to be part of this project. We are willing to discuss the details of the project with you at your most convenient time. High school pa lang ako super idol na kita, and now that i’m married my kids knows that love kta kc pag Sharon na tuwing Sunday alam na nila that its my turn to watch t.v. Lahat ng magazines (kislap, moviestar, everything…)na ikaw ang cover pinapabili ko with my mother everytime she goes to Tacloban and that time it takes the whole night going there and kinukulit ko talaga mother to buy me the mag. At ibinabandera ko talaga sa class namin pag meron na ako…and i;m quite proud kc not all can afford to buy coz napakalayo ng bibilhan..
And now i’m 32, still idol kita and so with your daughter, kc. I love them both ni Piolo, so bagay…and I can see the sincerity in Piolo’s eyes..
